Top 10 Awe Inspiring Waterfalls Waterfalls are the misty curtains of nature and one of the many awe inspiring wonders that nature has given us. Among all the waterfalls in the world, the natural ones are still the locus of intrigue and a sumptuous spectacle of the might nature. Iguazu Falls,Argentina/Brazil

Iguazu Falls is the mother of all waterfalls, comprised of an array of 275 separate cascades and waterfalls spanning a total of 2.5 miles and plunging up to 269 feet into the Iguazu river. Seemingly suspended from time, Iguazu Falls is a symbol of power. It is surrounded by bamboo, palm and fern trees, populated by parrots and macaws, and decorated with the ruins of an 18th century Jesuit mission.

Located in Shimoga District of Karnataka state, India, Jog Falls takes the best form during India's season of monsoon. Locally called as the Gerusoppe falls, Gersoppa Falls and Jogada Gundi, the mighty Jog falls are created by the Sharavathi River falling from a height of 253 meters (829 ft) is the highest plunge waterfall in India and the 7th deepest in the world.

The "Niagara of the West," Shoshone falls is on the Snake River located approximately five miles east of Twin Falls, Idaho. This remarkable waterfall with threatening looks is 212 feet high--incidentally 36 feet higher than Niagara Falls-- and flows over a rim 900 feet wide.
